Meet Ben
Why are you learning a language?
Because I believe that language is the key to people's hearts.
What keeps you motivated?
With the help of all the people who help me speak a new language better. They don't just correct me, they also encourage me. I really enjoy that.
Are there any techniques you use to keep yourself on track that you'd like to share with other language learners?
Don't learn too much in one go. It's better to understand and remember smaller portions. Learning a new language is more fun when you have a good language foundation to build an ever growing house on.
What do you enjoy most about learning a language on Busuu?
The community, definitely. And you learn to focus on your own native language again. By helping someone who's learning my native language I always learn something about the language I've been speaking since I was little.
How would you describe Busuu in one sentence?
The nice thing about Busuu is that you don't only get the opportunity to learn many different languages, but also that there is such a big community of passionate language learners who help me to improve my skills, motivate me and even become my friends.
What has studying on Busuu helped you to do in the real world?
As a doctor in training I interact with people from different countries and my circle of friends is very international. Every new language I learn builds new bridges. Thanks to Busuu it's really easy.
Have you had any good conversations on Busuu or met someone from Busuu in real life?
The nice thing about Busuu is that it's easy to communicate with others. I'm still working on a real life meeting ;)
